Water Policy Workshops

The Science and Environment Council periodically hosts workshops designed to bring diverse stakeholders from Sarasota and Manatee Counties together to prioritize and forge consensus around watershed issues and policy. Convening policy- and decision-makers, water utility operators, scientific experts, civic leaders, private developers and planners, workshops have focused on water quality, water supply, water conservation, low impact development, and watershed management for the health of Sarasota Bay. The resulting consensus documents produced from these multi-day events are widely distributed. View the documents below. Funded in part by the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
